Job Summary Our Convenience Site Worker receives and collects refuse at designated convenience sites. They are also responsible for gathering and carrying containers from convenience site customers and dumps refuse from containers separating recycling materials and dump them into appropriate recycling bins. Assist in loading, unloading, and cleaning garbage trucks at the convenience site as necessary. Operating a hoisting device to raise refuse bins attached to the rear of trucks, and performs other duties as directed at he convenience site. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Because of the job duties performed by the convenience worker, one is exposed to the physical environment, which involves dirt, odors, noise, weather extremes or similar elements most of the workday. The physical requirements of the position include the ability to handle objects less than 30 pounds occasionally. Work hours may require overtime, weekend and/or holiday work.
