The Role

Maintenance Technician

The successful Maintenance Technician candidate will have broad-based industrial maintenance experience, encompassing Electrical/PLC, Robotics, Mechanical, Welding, Machining, Hydraulics/Pneumatics, Conveyor systems, etc. Must be willing to tackle whatever maintenance challenge presents itself, and be willing to assist and learn from others in their areas of expertise.

Responsibilities
  • Day to day coverage of production line equipment: respond to alarms, breakdowns, and Production requests quickly and efficiently to minimize downtime.
  • Create, modify, and implement PM documents and schedules, under the direction of the Maintenance Supervisor.
  • Perform major equipment repairs and rebuilds, (some weekends and holidays required).
  • Design, fabricate, implement, and fully document equipment improvements and modifications.
  • Manage spare part inventory.
  • Operate Forklifts, overhead cranes and other heavy equipment.

Requirements
  • 5+ years of extensive experience maintaining industrial equipment and automation.
  • Must have expertise in one trade, proficiency in others, and the willingness to learn additional.
  • Experience creating & maintaining a positive atmosphere in a collaborative work team.
  • Experience in automotive is highly desired.
  • Good overall computer skills, including Microsoft Office and e-mail programs.
  • PLC and Robot programming skills.
  • Overtime and weekends as needed

Job Title and Description:

We expect this person to be creative and innovative, and to constantly be on the lookout for opportunities to improve equipment and systems. The successful candidate will have great interpersonal and communication skills, and must be capable of collaborating with multiple cross-functional teams and shop managers.
