ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
The Monitoring and Evaluation Specialist will be responsible for monitoring and evaluating the on-going performance of the M-REDD+ Program, including designing and maintaining systems and tools for tracking success. S/he will be responsible for the collection and analysis of data for all program indicators, and will lead the annual and quarterly reporting in accordance with USAID requirements, as well as develop weekly success stories. S/he will develop and adjust results chains for the program as a whole as well as for each component.

SPECIFIC FUNCTIONS
  • Work closely with M-REDD+ staff to coordinate the collection, analysis and interpretation of the M-REDD+ Program's performance against indicators;
  • Ensure that collection of data and evidence is completed on time to meet Performance Management Plan (PMP) deadlines;
  • Develop tools and systems for on-going program monitoring;
  • Assist with the production of progress reports for USAID and other donor funded projects according to timeframes required by each project;
  • Provide information proposals and technical reports:
  • Design, develop and maintain a knowledge management system for the M-REDD+ program.

 
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field and at least 5 years experience in project monitoring and evaluation
  • Experience using common software applications such as Word, Excel, Power Point, Web browsers, etc.
  • Experience clearly synthesizing complex verbal information into summarized written format
  • Experience managing multiple tasks at once and managing communications with remote team members
  • English and Spanish fluency

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • 3-5 years experience in project management and evaluation;
  • Experience in the Open Standards for the Practice of Conservation
  • Demonstrated project management abilities;
  • A solid understanding of information technology and proficiency with desktop automation tools, including Microsoft Office.
  • Fluency in Spanish and English
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate with internal and external groups, supervise processes and maintain integrity of organizational standards. 
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail required.
  • Ability to clearly synthesize complex verbal information into summarized written format
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks at once and managing communications with remote team members
  • Experience in the Open Standards for the Practice of Conservation a plus
