Job Description:  SUMMARY:
This position is responsible for the implementation, maintenance, and support of the Retail Systems in the Region and works to maintain the highest levels of up-time, maintain gold images, and implement new equipment and software. The position will also participate in an on-call rotation for 2nd and 3rd level escalated assistance where necessary.
DUTIES:
• Do whatever it takes to help keep WFM retail systems functioning efficiently.
• Train IT team members and assist with configuring, deploying & maintaining WFM retail systems for new locations and h/w & s/w upgrades during retail conversions. This includes assisting project management responsibilities such as: Analysis & estimation, Project planning, Hardware procurement & configuration, Hardware installation, Software procurement & configuration, Migrating configuration options & data from previous systems, System testing, Operational training.
• Maintain the stability of WFMs EFT system.
• Support item maintenance systems integrated with retail systems. Research & resolve unusual or unwanted retail system behavior. Test & report system bugs, then test, document & deploy vendor software patches.
• Participate in an on-call technical support rotation that includes twenty-four hour / seven day a week Level II & III support coverage for WFM retail systems. Effectively & courteously assist WFM team members with technology where applicable. Collaborate with accounting & other Regional and Central Support IT teams to optimize financial data flow, reporting & reconciliation.
• Maintain retail server TLOG & CRS file creation & stability for retrieval and parsing for downstream team processing. Maintain functional retail lab development environments for support issue replication, patch testing & development project testing.
• Research unusual issues and coordinate troubleshooting.
• Assist in development testing for new retail system technologies & functional enhancement projects, supporting scale hosting and scale hardware, and vendor relationship management.
• Create knowledge base articles and support documentation.
• Other related duties as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS:
• Experience in providing Level II & III retail training & support. Experience with one or more the following systems is a plus: IBM 4690, IBM Supermarket Application, iNVATRON scale software, ACI, Print Lab, Mettler-Toledo, Hobart, Access Via, Pragma telnet client, Other retail hardware platforms and applications.
• Positive interpersonal team dynamics with a desire to be a part of a high-performance and collaborative team. Able to embrace change with enthusiasm.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Effective time-management skills and the ability to work without direct supervision.
• Ability to multi task and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Willingness to travel, including driving.
• Able to embrace change with enthusiasm and work as part of a collaborative team.
• Typically requires 4 year degree or equivalent experience and 2-4 years of relevant functional experience.
 
Essential Job Functions:
  • Stand and walk for extended periods of time.
  • Bend and stoop to grasp objects and climb ladders. Bend and twist neck and waist, reach above and below shoulders and squat.
  • Bend and lift loads, not to exceed 50 pounds.  Push and pull carts weighing up to 100 pounds.
  • Repetitive use of hands for grasping, pushing, pulling, and fine manipulation.
  • Environmental exposure to extreme temperatures (coolers, ovens, freezer, outdoors, etc.)
