Job Description:  We are currently seeking a Project Manager to be based out of our Billings, Montana office. This person will be managing oil & gas projects.  The ideal candidate will be self-motivated, and have excellent technical writing and interpersonal communication skills, and be highly client service focused.
 
Duties/Responsibilities:


  • Plans, organizes and coordinates work on multiple projects.
  • Manages communications with client and project team
  • Effectively manages health and safety, scope, cost, schedule, and quality of work
  • Mentors staff, providing leadership in an environment which encourages teamwork, initiative and growth
  • Maintains knowledge of new regulatory and technical developments to provide the most cost-effective solutions to client needs
  • Ensures that project team is responsive to client.
  • Assists client with agency negotiations by providing technical resources, and supports client's regulatory compliance efforts.
  • Scheduling & tracking of field staff (system is in place), and interfacing within the office with other projects for allocation of resources
  • Track scope, schedule & budget.
  • Invoicing review and approval.
  • Conduct interpretation of environmental data (hydrocarbon impacts to soil & groundwater).
  • Write and review reports; provide guidance to junior staff that are also writing reports

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or advanced degree preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience doing environmental consulting work.
  • 2 + years managing projects.
  • Oil & Gas experience.
  • Downstream experience (refining/terminal/pipeline)
  • Experience managing a project team of two or more people.
  • Strong focus on executing work safely.
  • Strong client interface skills; provide routine updates; track status of deliverables.
  • Ability to pay attention to details.
  • Understanding or remediation systems, and working with subject matter experts that develop them.
  • Understanding of operation of remediation systems (have GW P&T running at the refinery).
