Job Description: 

The Great Basin Institute is looking for a highly motivated Grants and Agreements Administrator to join our multi-disciplinary team committed to providing a wide range of accounting functions.

The Grants and Agreements Administrator will be responsible for ensuring timely billing and collection of contracts and agreements. In addition, this administrator ensures all outstanding and overdue accounts are recovered, and evaluates credit policy and procedures in relation to customer debt management. You will also be required to assist the Financial Manager in all functions of the accounts receivable section, and provide additional support as required.

SELECTION CRITERIA
Essential:

  • A Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance or related field from a 4-year accredited university.
  • A fundamental understanding of account receivables and credit control areas, with a minimum of two years experience.
  • Experience with administration of federal grants and agreements.
  • Demonstrated time management and planning skills.
  • Ability to communicate with people at all levels of the organization, clients and industry contacts, in a professional manner.
  • Ability to work in a team environment, and work unsupervised.
  • Proven planning and organizational skills.
  • Demonstrated problem solving skills, including the ability to analyze issues and problems, and provide recommendations.
  • Proven proficiency using Quickbooks and MS Office applications (Word, Excel & PowerPoint).


Desirable:

  • 3-5 years experience.
  • Prior experience with federal grant reporting systems or considerable experience using a similar system.
  • Environmental and Nonprofit Industry experience or knowledge.


Compensation:

  • Rate of Pay: $31,000-37,000 DOE

Timeline:

  • Open until filled
  • Full time, 40 hours per week
