Condor Country Consulting is seeking to fill a Biological Technician position for work in Northern California. The position will be predominantly field work but may include some office-based work. Work will include assisting with field surveys and monitoring for special status species. It may also include running camera and track stations, trapping, mapping using GIS/GPS, and preparation of technical reports. |

Condor Country Consulting, Inc. is looking for assistance with several biological research and monitoring projects in the San Francisco Bay Area. As a certified small business, Condor Country provides natural and cultural resource consulting services to a variety of clients, including state and local agencies, large consulting firms, land trusts, and private entities. Condor Country Consulting works on a variety of projects, large and small, including baseline environmental studies, impact analyses, mitigation, and monitoring Current projects focus on San Francisco garter snake, California tiger salamander, California red-legged frog, and fairy shrimp recovery efforts. We are looking for observant, responsible, curious individuals, able to work independently and in a group setting, to help us grow and provide excellent service to our clients. |
| General Guidelines: |
Candidates are required to possess a Bachelors Degree in a field related to Wildlife Biology and demonstrate relevant experience. Strong written and verbal communication skills required. Applicant must be able to conduct strenuous field work, travel as needed, and possess valid driver's license. Integrity, flexibility, humility, trustworthiness, and a genuine love of wildlife are requisite for the successful applicant. Ideal candidates will also be available for occasional night and weekend work. Possession of a scientific collecting permit also a plus.
This is a project-specific, on-call position, paid an hourly rate. Rates are competitive, and negotiable depending on experience. The permanent work location will be at our Martinez, California office. All qualified applicants should contact WendyDexter.
