The Nature Conservancy (TNC) is seeking qualified candidates for a full-time Preserve Steward at the Juniper Hills Preserve, located in central Oregon. The Preserve Steward will be responsible for Preserve operations, maintenance and management and will work with other TNC staff to develop and maintain key partnerships with neighbors and the local community. The Preserve Steward must be capable of planning, performing, and evaluating diverse tasks including, but not limited to, noxious weed control, volunteer work supervision, visitor management, upland and riparian restoration and monitoring, and a controlled hunting program. The successful candidate will have a degree in Natural Resource Management or related field, the ability to work independently, have practical problem-solving skills and strong interpersonal and written communications skills. Experience and qualifications related to prescribed fire, noxious weed control, and community outreach are highly desirable.
