Summary: This is a Meat apprentice-training program, which will build stronger Meat teams. This is a one-year program designed to provide the tools and training for Meat Team Members to become Meat cutters. Training will include, hands on Meat cutting, merchandising, classroom and bookwork as well as monthly tests. The program will include field trips to various stores and vendors. Participants in the program will work in a designated store one day a week with the Meat trainer. Must be flexible in schedule and travel

| Roles and Responsibilities: |
Must Have: • Nomination by Meat TL • Approval and recommendation of STL • At least six months as a Meat clerk within Whole Foods Market • General Meat knowledge on products and the cuts • Must be able to set the poultry, oven ready and sausage cases within the standard time limits • Proven track record in successful poultry ordering • Flexible schedule to include early mornings, late nights, weekends and holidays • Willing to travel to training store location • Willing to be flexible on dates • Demonstrated outstanding Meat team member ability • Excellent customer service Excellent • Communication skills • A desire and a willingness to learn more about the Meat department • Strong desire to advance, Meat Cutter, ATL, Team Leader
Will Do: 1. Participate and complete Northern California Meat apprenticeship training program 2. One-year program on apprentices Meat team a. One day a week for first six months in designated training store b. Commitment for second six months in his or her home store c. Fully complete program before transfer to another location 3. Follow all safety and regulatory compliance using Personal Protective equipment within regional guidelines as a model for other Team Members 4. Work with Meat team leader on a regular basis for Meat cutting training and practice 5. Work combination of all shifts 6. Provide feedback evaluating trainers 7. Learn all aspects of Meat department 8. Fully participate in training exercises
