Purpose of the job:
Lead & motivate Tesla store team. Provide relevant market feedback to corporate – market opportunities, trends, opportunities. The key “face” of Tesla in market area. Achieve assigned sales and profitability targets.
The Regional Sales Manager (RSM) will achieve assigned revenue and unit targets determined by the company by driving sales and marketing activities in the assigned region. The RSM will work with teams at corporate headquarters to plan and execute marketing activities including public relations, events, and customer relations. In addition, they will support activities to bring the Regional Store and Service Center from concept to completion. 

Primary responsibilities:
Ensure full utilization and compliance of identified sales and prospecting systems e.g. SalesForce. Develop sales & marketing plans to fully exploit market area potential. Adopt “hands-on” role in all aspects of store operations. Coach & train staff on an ongoing basis. Manage budgets
 
Duties will be assigned and prioritized based on the company’s evolving needs. The RMs will play a support role in some instances but will lead independent initiatives as needed. Representative duties may be, but are not limited to, the following: 

• Achieve monthly revenue and unit targets 
• Develop customer leads effectively from intake until sale 
• Identify and develop region-specific marketing opportunities to increase awareness and interest in the Tesla brand, with the simultaneous goals of increasing brand equity and generating sales leads 
• Respond to customer and media inquiries from various sources to include the website, CRM system, direct emails, phone, events, and in-store activities 
• Assist in the management of outside advertising, public relations, and other agencies on ongoing campaigns 
• Facilitate growing community of Roadster owners in the region and create opportunities for brand building through owner loyalty events/programs 
• Assist in managing the Regional Store buildout, from location search to completion 
• Lead staff training and serve as a brand liaison for new team members hired locally 

Required Experience and attributes:
Bachelor's Degree is preferred 
3+ years sales management experience 
Ability to develop and manage sales and marketing programs that deliver results 
Car enthusiast with broad knowledge of cars and drive experiences 
Good relationship skills, an open mind and a willingness to reinvent yourself 
Strength in written communication and verbal communications 
Must be proficient in Microsoft Office applications and prior experience with a top-tier CRM system mandatory.
Strong attention to detail and the importance of prompt and thorough follow up
