ERP Director: The ERP Director will oversee all packaged software and custom developed systems across Tesla Motors, providing overall coordination for the design and implementation of an SAP-centric ERP systems infrastructure with interfaced applications, including CRM, PLM, DMS, CAD, etc. Responsibilities: • Define the ERP program strategy and roadmap for global roll out • Lead the design and implementation of new functionalities, processes, along with enhancements / modifications to current processes and systems including SAP ERP, Salesforce CRM, Arkona Dealer Management System, Arena PLM, various HRIS, and numerous Engineering CAD applications such as CATIA, Smarteam, etc. • Leverage the existing application set to automate work activities, thereby streamlining business processes to be more efficient, enabling Tesla personnel to focus on value-added work • Develop the budget and resource plan required to realize the ERP program • Facilitate key stakeholders alignment and engagement for the program; holding stakeholders accountable for delivering against their commitments • Provide leadership and management for all internal technical resources on the program • Manage all external technical resources and relationships on the program • Coordinate all technical inputs to the program, managing cross-team interdependencies and impacts, resolves or escalates issues as required • Establish a PMO to build common processes, methodology and framework for implementation • Provide overall PMO activities for the program – planning, change control, resource and cost management • Define and track performance measures, regularly reporting on status against project plans • Manage risks associated with program implementation and developing risk mitigation strategies • Provide program financial management; responsible for supporting and enabling the business to realize the full benefits (both tangible and intangible) of implementing the program • Continue the automating and enhancing key business processes through SAP, such as Forecasting, Supply Chain management, Customer Order Fulfillment, Financial Accounting, Cost Controlling, HR processes (from recruitment to retirement), Document Management, etc. • Design and implement a portal strategy for employees, customers, suppliers, and R&D collaboration Qualifications: • Motivation leader, driven individual, strong working knowledge of supply chain concepts, order to cash and purchase to pay processes • At least 10 years of ERP application implementations and / or custom development experience • 4+ years direct experience with SAP software, SAP certification a plus • Experienced with at least 3 large scale, multi-site, international implementations • Detail-oriented, hands on experience implementing SAP ERP globally, focusing on SAP Logistics Modules (MM, SD, PP), and Financials (FI, CO, PCA, AM) • Knowledgeable of Salesforce CRM • Retail and Portal implementations is a plus • Extensive experience designing, implementing, and improving business processes in an ERP application environment • Experience with PLM applications, preferably Arena • Experienced with managing systems interface development, whether using a middleware platform or bespoke development • Experienced with systems roll-outs, facilitating change management, conducting user training and providing on-going systems support • Experience evaluating, negotiating and managing systems integrators, software and hardware vendors and contractors • Automotive industry experience a plus • Experience implementing, designing and enforcing project management methodology and controls • Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently, prioritizing tasks, providing guidance to a multiple-disciplinary, cross-departmental team • Experience managing large teams, crisis management skills and creativity to solve complex business problems • MBA is preferred |
