Electronic Engineering Technician Job Details

JOB SUMMARY:   

  Support engineering group by fabricating and testing electronic circuits, cabling and test fixtures as well as testing of systems.

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:

• Construct, test and repair electronic circuits including soldering SMT and through hole circuitry.
• Fabricate cable harnesses
• Read electronic schematics and mechanical drawings or work from written / verbal instructions using little or no formally released documentation.
• Utilize test equipment, oscilloscopes, DVMs, signal generators, power supplies and other standard EE lab equipment.
• Follow documented test procedures to validate components and system level units.
• Navigate computer systems and software necessary to perform job function using programs such as Windows, Outlook, Word, Excel and Labview.
• Experience with high voltage environments extremely useful.
  

REQUIREMENTS:

• Associate degree or equivalent experience.
• Electronic Engineering lab experience
• Strong skills in problem solving, communication, personal effectiveness, quality and common sense, team player
• Self starter, motivated.

 This position will be located in San Carlos until mid-2010 when the lab will move to Palo Alto.
