Summary We are seeking a proven inside sales professional with a history of telephone based C-level sales and account development. In this position, you will be responsible for outbound cold calling, identifying and qualifying sales opportunities, mining existing relationships for new opportunities and managing the daily activities associated with strategic channel development. We are looking for an individual to immediately integrate into the broader sales organization, to work with Regional Sales Managers to expand our dealer channel in underserved geographies. Position Responsibilities: • Field inbound calls and leads from various sources and qualify for business potential. • Outbound cold-call to a defined set of target prospect accounts. • Contact dealer prospects through, but not limited to, phone calls, email, mailings, fax and seminars to communicate opportunities to extend initiatives with the company. • Collaborate with marketing, sales management, product management to facilitate new programs, messages, campaigns, and offerings. • Successfully engage with business owners to uncover and understand their capabilities and to set appropriate expectations about the process if interest is mutual. • Ensure that prospective dealers are handed off to Regional Sales Managers successfully, and exceed customer's satisfaction. • Ensure reporting and communications is frequent and bi-directional Job Requirements: • Proven success in building and maintaining successful relationships at all organizational levels with prospective and existing customers. • 2-3 years of demonstrated inside sales, outside sales or business development success. • Superior knowledge of accessing and using the Internet, CRM, and MS Office tools. • Excellent communication skills are required, both written and oral. • Self-motivated, energetic personality with exceptional telephone and selling skills • Must be able to work in a fast paced environment and have strong time management skills • Understanding of (or ability to quickly learn) renewable energy industry, grid-tied solar electric sales/design/installation. • Ability to keep track of quickly-changing market conditions regarding solar incentive funding, product development and competitive landscape In addition to offering a competitive compensation package, SunPower is a company committed to offering a benefits package that provides security and well-being to its employees and their eligible dependents, including domestic partners.
