Minimum Requirements: Bachelors degree in related Engineering, Planning or Science discipline with extensive experience working with US Army Corp of Engineers. The ideal candidate will be a California registered Professional Engineer or Planner familiar with federal projects in the Southwest. Must be able to effectively communicate with multi-disciplinary group of Engineers, Planners and other technical professionals to develop and execute multi-million dollar projects in the LA District footprint. Client communication skills, business development, proposal support are critical to the success of this position. The successful candidate will be expected to identify and cultivate opportunities with the Corps and their customers. They must show an ability to team with other consultants and contractors and to lead successful proposal efforts. Work experience with the Army Corps of Engineers in the Civil Design, Hydrology and Hydraulics, and/or the Planning Division is important. Understanding of specific USACE contracting procedures for design and construction assignments is also important. Understanding of various USACE Design-Build opportunities. Project experience shall be in the areas of ports and harbors, shoreline protection, riverbed restoration, wetlands, dam construction and demolition as well as military infrastructure improvements such as hospital, childcare center, barracks, mining facilities, hangars, airfield and runway construction and rehabilitation. Job Description: Position entails the oversight and direction of various assignments related to USACE projects which the candidate has secured with the ACOE or other related federal entity. As a project manager for these types of assignments, the candidate will need the technical expertise to direct the project team and converse with the client on the specific matters related to the various projects. Position will require travel to the various USACE offices throughout the Southwest. Primary focus is to identify work opportunities with the USACE office in Los Angeles. Coordination with other URS offices will be required primarily within the west. Will apply experience with USACE customers such as Army and Air Force installations, Ports and Harbors, and/or Homeland Security.
