Minimum Requirements: Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering or similar field.
PE License.
OPM (Owner Project Manager) certification as certified by the MCPPO Program as administered by the Inspector General of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
10 years in general K-12 project management experience, including 5 years working on MSBA K-12 projects.
Experience reviewing CPM schedules, monitoring financial performance of contractors, as well as construction document review.
This position requires successful completion of the URS Project Management Certification program within 6 months of hire. This certification program is a series of learning modules and is available on-line through the URS Learning Management System at no financial cost to the employee.
Capable of managing multiple projects including multiple disciplines and completing diverse project tasks.
Strong computer skills (Microsoft Office Suite 2000).
Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.
Strong time-management and analytical skills.
Valid Driver's License.
Must obtain negative result on drug screening performed in accordance with URS drug testing policy. Job Description: This position will be part of the K-12 Team within the URS Construction Services office in Boston, MA.
Business development and project management of K-12 projects within the MSBA system.
Responsible for the day-to-day activities of K-12 project management.
Interact with state agencies, school district, architects and contractors.
Review project drawings and project issues.
Interact with the marketing/proposal group as necessary to produce marketing and proposal materials for specific opportunities.
Interact with our project controls group in order to provide scheduling, budgeting and other peripheral services that will be needed to support the projects.
