Minimum Requirements: BS degree in Geology with a minimum of 5 years experience required. Professional registration (PG), or ability to obtain PG registration within one year. Requires the ability to evaluate client/site/regulatory needs, implement site characterization/remediation activities, and effectively document and report (both oral and written) results to a wide range of stakeholders (client, public, regulatory agencies,etc.). Proficiency with MS Office programs; Word, Excel and PowerPoint. Soil to groundwater modeling and groundwater modeling software experience beneficial. Strong project team management and client management required to effectively complete interdisciplinary projects. Strong time management and organization skills are required to effectively complete multiple, on-going, time-critical projects requiring input from multiple departments, subcontractors, etc. Ability to effectively interact with clients, regulatory agency personnel, and project team members. Familiar with Act 2 and Act 32 requirements. Project management and program management skills are required. Job Description: Will include both office and field activities, data (geologic and analytical) evaluation, client interaction, agency interaction, and effective communication (both oral and written). The individual will perform environmental consulting services, including Phase I and II Environmental Site Assessments of commercial and industrial properties, environmental compliance evaluations, and site remediation. The individual will supervise and manage (as Project and/or Program Manager) all phases of environmental investigations and remediation, including the design and implementation of site characterization activities (sampling plan design and implementation, drilling supervision, geologic logging, soil testing, monitoring well installation, aquifer response testing (slug testing and pumping tests), hydrogeological and geophysical investigations, development of conceptual site models, conduct remedial alternatives evaluation), and remediation supervision. The individual will also prepare reports for submission to clients and the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection. Experience with PADEP and USEPA regulatory oversight on projects is required. WVDEP experience is a plus. Experience with various regulatory oversight is required, including regulations implemented by state agencies (e.g., PADEP) and Federal Programs (USEPA) This position will interact with project team (potential interdisciplinary team or interoffice team), clients, and the appropriate regulatory agency (such as PADEP). Ability to effectively operate independently in an interdisciplinary team of technicians, scientist, engineers and managers.
