Minimum Requirements:

B.S. degree required in Engineering, Geology or Environmental Science,

Minimum of one year experience in field work including soil and groundwater sampling and overseeing contractor work, and coordinating field tasks.

Position requires ability to work both independently and as part of a team, effective time management, written and verbal communication skills including proficiency with Microsoft Work and excel, mechanical aptitude, analytical and interpersonal skills, and a desire to learn and grow professionally.

Valid Drivers License is required as well as frequent travel to northwest Indiana in candidate's personal vehicle (with mileage reimbursement).

Successful candidate will be comfortable with both field work and office work; will show solid decision-making, organizational, analytical and interpersonal skills; will be able to perform on multiple projects, as needed.

Successful candidate will have to undergo 40 hour Hazwoper training and 10 hour OSHA construction training and will be required to obtain homeland security clearance (TWIC).

Ability to work safely in industrial settings and in the field and use requisite safety equipment is required.

Job Description:

Responsibilities include field sampling, field oversight of drilling contractors, data compilation and evaluation, cost estimating, mechanical evaluation of remediation systems, field tasks related to remediation systems, communicate project status to supervisors and report preparation.

Additional responsibilities will be determined based upon the needs of remediation group clients and may require priorities to be adjusted on short notice.

Position will report to a senior environmental engineer and will work with various engineers, scientists and administrative personnel. Additionally, candidate will interact with safety and human resources staff to address URS and individual needs.
