Minimum Requirements: BS in Engineering or Geology and 20 years experience in the mining industry; preferably most with the coal industry; project management and business development experience also required. PE or PG in Pennsylvania. Candidate will provide assistance and guidance with mining projects in region. Responsibilities may include: provide technical consultation on studies, analysis and design of mining projects which may include open pit, tailing dam, and crushing/conveyor system layout. Will require people management skills as technical group is grown and developed. Candidate must have experience with project level financial accountability and successful record of project profit performance. Candidate is accountable for developing and adhering to project and marketing budgets. Job Description: Candidate would be the leader of a newly formed group and responsible for the growth and development of the coal mining business in Pennsylvania and West Virginia. Candidate will be daily involved in the successful completion of active projects, the pursuit of new projects, meeting with clients, and managing staff within a working group. Candidate will work with other department managers in the Pittsburgh office and Business Line leaders in the region to identify target clients and projects to pursue. Activities would be collaborative and team oriented.
