The successful candidate must be capable of being a team player in the Corporate Communications department of a global $9.25B company with 46,000+ employees worldwide. As a Communications Coordinator/Writer, you will work on a variety of assignments individually and with other members of the department and will interact with groups throughout the organization. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
• Drafting, editing and proofreading for a variety of companywide electronic and printed communications including press releases, newsletters, executive/policy memos, employee announcements, intranet, Web site and Annual Report • Assist in the day-to-day maintenance and publishing for the URS intranet • Communications and writing support for internal clients, such as Human Resources, Information Technology, Finance & Accounting, Procurement, etc. • Information gathering for executive memos and scripts • Assist in Public Relations activities
This position requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail and the ability to work on multiple projects under tight deadlines. A successful candidate is one who is self motivated, reliable, responsible and analytical. Among your accountabilities, excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential to convey ideas clearly and interact effectively with all levels and functions of the organization, including the ability to be direct yet diplomatic and professional when addressing issues or deficiencies.
