Minimum Requirements: Education: Master's degree in relevant Environmental Science or Engineering discipline
Experience: Requires 10 years of Program experience and minimum of 20 years of combined experience in the design, implementation and management of major environmental/engineering programs with 15 years working in engineering delivery for power and energy-related projects. Successful candidate will have managed projects for a minimum of 10 years and managed large power related proposals as capture manager for power related efforts. A proven ability to develop and deliver environmental impact assessment and permitting will be an important to the success of this position. Successful candidate will have successfully managed project staff of at least 20 professionals in this area of delivery. Power industry experience should include project types such as coal, oil, nuclear, and gas turbine projects generation. Power transmission and distribution experience is important. Renewable energy experience is also important, particularly in wind and solar.
Software: Microsoft Office, Primavera P3 or equivalent project controls working knowledge, Estimating tools for professional services and plant TIC, ASME & API standards. Demonstrated Marketing (strategic and tactical) capture plan strategies and experience base.
Successful candidate will demonstrate through example and reference management skills appropriate to this type assignment. The candidate must be recognized by the industry in power engineering and construction projects, authored papers, active in power professional societies, and have a strong network of service client base. Strong communication skills for proposal and contract scope support with estimating manpower, staffing and level of efforts are required.
This position requires successful completion of the URS Project Management Certification program within 6 months of hire. This certification program is a series of learning modules and is available on-line through the URS Learning Management System at no financial cost to the employee. Job Description: This position will be a Business Line leadership position, including leadership of business development and project delivery. Key responsibilities will include developing and implementing focused business development plans for the Denver Power Business Line. This candidate will also manage large and complex projects and complete selective technical work. Primary responsibilities will include business development, project management, and technical work.
