The Infrastructure and Environment Division of URS is actively seeking a creative, highly talented, and self-motivated Staff Civil Engineer 2 for immediate employment in the Santa Maria, California office. The appropriately qualified applicant will be able to demonstrate an established career in general civil design including grading, drainage, roadway, and utility design specific to municipal infrastructure improvement projects as well as private development projects. The successful candidate may also support environmental assessment and remediation projects for private clients. URS is proud to provide our employees with exciting, challenging projects. Incumbent Responsibilities:
• Prepare engineering calculations, drawings, and specifications
• Prepare engineering reports and technical writings
• Communicate effectively with team members and client representatives
• Manage small projects and large project subtasks
• Work independently with minor direction
