OSHA Authorized Construction Trainer (10hrs-30hrs)
Experience:
Candidate must be a Mechanical Oil Project Designer with 8 or more years of experience at Petrochemical Facilities in Southern California.
Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities:
• Strong Planning, Organizational, Leadership and Management skills.
• Must possess excellent technical skills for designing pumps, piping, performing hydraulic and surge analysis.
• Strong understanding of ASME B31.4 and familiar with ASME B31.3.
• Listens and communicates effectively.
• Works well in a team environment.
• Strong time management skills.
• Support URS Health & Safety and Quality Assurance/Quality Control processes.
Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC) Required.


Job Description:

• The selected candidate will be a seconded employee at the BP office in La Palma, California. The candidate with work closely with BP management to establish a plan to move their Pipeline & Logistics Programs forward. Based on the plan the candidate will coordinate with the Huntington Beach Branch Manager to define staffing requirements based on BP’s program. Staffing may come from URS, URS sub-consultants or other consultants. The candidate will work in the Huntington Beach Office as required to support the URS Project Managers executing the program including; setting up project organizations, developing executions plans, implementing cost and quality controls and preparing project status reports.
• The candidate will be required to learn the BP operational structure and become proficient within the structure in a short time, as well as learning the URS operational structure. URS will provide several formal training programs to assist the candidate.
