Environmental Engineer Job Details

BS in Environmental Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or related field.

Minimum four years of experience in related field.
Master's degree in related engineering discipline can substitute for one year of experience.
Or demonstrated equivalent combination of education, skills, knowledge, abilities and experience.

Must have knowledge of bioremediation processes: Groundwater Modeling System to simulate remediation via pump and treat system.
Design and Field Application of In-Situ Chemical Oxidation (ISCO) for Remediation of Impacted Soil and Groundwater.
Design of treatment units for polishing waste stream from a metal finishing plant.
Design of lift station and conveyance pipelines.

Responsibilities for this position include:

Conduct hazardous waste management studies to evaluate the significance of hazards.

Advise on the treatment and containment of environmental hazards in soil, water and air.

Compute material balances of water treatment systems.

Design soil and groundwater remediation systems.

Design water conveyance systems.

Perform field studies related to the remediation of soil and groundwater.

Write technical reports.

Manage and coordinate small projects.

Communicate and interface with clients.
