We are currently recruiting for an Area Manager in San Jose, California -South Bay Area to join our Field Management Team. Our ideal candidate will work in partnership with the District Sales Manager (DSM), supervising all sales and operational aspects of two to six additional shops in the district while at the same time being responsible and accountable for achieving sales objectives and maximizing profitability in their Home Shop. The candidate will provide leadership, coaching, and development to their assigned Shops and Franchise Teams to produce high performing and productive associates

Primary Responsibilities Include:
• Ensures that all assigned shops demonstrate and uphold the values and vision of the Company
• Responsible and accountable for achieving assigned shops’ business objectives to include targeted sales, conversion, average transaction value (ATV), and the Love Your Body loyalty program
• Resolve customer complaints and concerns in a prompt manner that builds customer loyalty
• Set the example as a sales leader in shops by demonstrating high energy, enthusiasm, and respect with every customer and team member interaction
• Identify strengths and developmental opportunities with each assigned team. In partnership with the DSM, Shop Manager, Franchisee, provide needed development plans and ensure consistent coaching and feedback to gain the necessary results
• Maintain top management by networking, recruiting, and hiring the right talent for the business. Develop bench strength to ensure management positions are filled according to the staffing model in a timely manner
• Ensure that all shop employees receive training and development using the Company provided materials
• Maintain and ensure that all employees understand and adhere to company policies, programs, and practices as outlined in employee handbooks, manuals, and on-line communications

Our Ideal Candidate will have:
• Minimum 3 years retail management/leadership experience including at least 1 year in a multi-store management role
• Must have strong interpersonal skills, as well as outstanding written and verbal communication skills across all levels of the company
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and be able to adapt to changing business needs
• Strong follow-up, time management skills and attention to detail a must
• Must have computer skills with experience in MS Office 2007 including MS Excel, Outlook and Word
• Excellent supervisory skills with the desire and capacity to lead a team and produce results; establish goals; and motivate others to achieve
• High standards of tact, discretion, and confidentiality
• Ability to travel as directed by the DSM/RSD
• Willingness to relocate within a Region (US) or Market (Canada or Mexico)

The final candidate must pass a credit check, criminal background check and drug test in order to be selected for the position.
