Job Description:  AECOM is actively seeking a creative, highly talented Project Manager / Architect for immediate full time employment as a site representative for AECOM at the USPS office in Duluth GA. AECOM is proud to provide our employees with exciting, challenging projects. This person will be on site full time at the Duluth location as an extension of the USPS staff overseeing these projects.

The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:
  • Works with USPS on related document reviews, contract management, and processing, of repair and alteration projects within the USPS system, such as roofing repairs and replacements
  • Resolves complex issues
  • Manages and leads all technical, financial, and administrative areas using consistent processes and tools, for all sizes and scopes of roofing and related projects
  • Inform and/or advise contracting officer of project status and issues
  • Reviews design and solicitation documents, record of proposals, requests for award, change order modification requests and project invoices and prepare for processing
  • Manages budgets and handle requests for change orders when requested by contractor through AE firm
  • Reviews change order modification requests for mid-sized projects or portions of larger projects
  • Manages budget and handle change orders when additional services are requested. Interfaces with staff, clients, and management
  • Monitors construction schedule and advises management
  • Evaluates contractor's progress and make recommendations
  • Develops working conduit of communication between an owner and the design team
  • Reads and interprets contract requirements, engineering drawings, and project schedules
  • Works independently on assigned duties for regional area
Minimum Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in related field
  • 5+ years of project experience
  • Architect Licensed
  • Outstanding oral communication, written and presentation skills
  • Able to communicate highly technical concepts
  • Able to manage a small team of experts to complete quality work products
  • Must be detail oriented, thorough, well organized and effectively manage time
  • Team player with excellent listening skills and diplomacy; willingness to work with multiple different colleagues on a variety of initiatives
  • Thorough knowledge and understanding of construction contracts, applicable codes, scheduling and familiarity with materials, methods and processes of construction
  • Strong technical knowledge related to planning, and architectural design and detailing
  • Experience coordinating work, civil, structural and MEP disciplines
