Job Description:  The Water Business Unit of AECOM is actively seeking a Senior Project Manager for immediate employment. This position will report to the Sacramento, CA office, but will telecommute out of Boise, ID. The successful candidate will support the Water design teams to complete a variety of projects that involve water and dam design. AECOM is proud to provide our employees with exciting, challenging projects. This is a part-time variable position, meaning work days and times will be determined on an as-needed basis.

The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:
  • Plans, directs, and supervises all operations included in a large, complex project or several moderately sized projects with greater risk and complexity, and significant financial impact
  • Resolves complex issues
  • Manages projects on a local to national basis
  • Acts as primary point of contact with client and has full responsibility for project delivery
  • May be responsible for Project teams that include 10 or more members often representing multiple business lines, working in remote locations and including a subcontractor(s)
  • Works with clients to provide long-term solutions
Minimum Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering required
  • Professional Engineering License
  • 15+ years of project management experience
  • Understanding of flood control infrastructure regulations and permitting
  • Qualified applicants will have experience managing projects with $5M - $20M contract value and $1M - $2.5M annual gross revenue
  • Must have strong technical progression within the design and construction of large dams and flood control infrastructure
  • Must be experience in the design/construction review on annual dam operation and safety reports
  • Senior Manager with keen understanding of CA Water Resources market
  • Ability to support marketing effort in pursuing work on Dams and related water infrastructure projects
  • Understanding of regulatory and permitting and environmental framework
Preferred Qualifications
  • Masters in Civil Engineering
  • Professional Engineering License, California preferred
  • Prefer 20+ years of progressive experience within the field
  • A strong reputation in the Northern CA market is a plus
