Job Description: 
Minimum Requirements:

• Bachelor degree in civil engineering or appropriate discipline.
• EIT is required
• Min 4 years of relevant experience.
• Master’s degree in related engineering discipline can substitute for 1 year of experience.
• PhD degree in related engineering discipline can substitute for up to 3 years of experience.
• Or demonstrated equivalent combination of education, skills, knowledge, abilities and experience.
− Good understanding of engineering techniques.
− Ability to work independently and take on larger, more complex tasks than previous level.
− Capable of using design software, models, etc. to solve complex issues with direction from senior staff.
− Basic knowledge of types of code and permits requirements for a particular location.


Job Description:

Technical
• Assignments usually include one or more of the following: calculations, preparation of plans and specifications, process study, research investigations, report preparation, and other activities of limited scope requiring knowledge of principles and techniques commonly employed in a specific narrow area of assignments.
• Conducts calculation checks.
• Prepares construction contract documents or project deliverables.
• Draws engineering conclusions for data analysis with area of technical proficiency.
• Works on small projects or portions of larger projects, with work being reviewed by senior or appropriately experienced engineer.
• Researches and makes sure assignments meet building codes, regulatory and industry codes, laws and requirements, as well as, client requirements.
• Determines the permitting requirements for the particular type of work being designed for the location in which it is to be constructed

Client Management / Revenue Generation
• Begins to interact directly with client to gather information and discuss project requirements.
• Participates in limited marketing efforts and business development.
