Minimum Requirements: Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering or related engineering field from an ABET accredited engineering degree program.
Professional Engineer in Indiana or ability to obtain within 6 months.
Minimum 10 years of experience as Project Manager and / or Group Leader with sales, financial, engineering, design, project management, and client management responsibility on large water / wastewater design and construction projects. Past experience with large urban sewer districts on wet-weather engineering projects (such as CSO's, sanitary, storm water collection systems).
Business development experience and a proven track record with large account management and complex engineering / technical sales.
Extensive experience preparing proposals and conducting presentations.
People management experience, including managing an office and/or large projects.
Must be proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.
Valid Driver's License required. Job Description: The successful candidate will lead the Indianapolis Office's water/wastewater team. Serve as business development leader for water / wastewater design projects and manage the Water Resources Group in Indianapolis.
Responsibilities to include sales and marketing leadership, project management and client management for water / wastewater engineering projects.
The successful candidate will also be a member of the Wet Weather Regional Practice Group.
Responsibilities:
1) Manage all aspects of Water Resources Business Development, Planning and Engineering for the Indianapolis P&L, which includes the entire State of Indiana. This includes hiring and managing staff, budgets, and project technical development through preparation of final construction drawings. Provide oversight to ensure consistent product quality and profitability of operation
2) Coordinate with the Columbus P&L Water Resources BL Manager, Cincinnati P&L Water Resources BL Manager, and the Louisville Water Resources Department Manager in an effort to share resources, utilize technical strengths, ensure independent reviews of all deliverables, and to identify key project opportunities as early as possible.
3) Assigned to the Wet Weather Practice Group for the four-state region. Responsibilities would include development of WR / Wet Weather capabilities throughout the region and assist local, regional, and national leadership in pursuit of significant projects throughout the region.
4) Coordinate with the National & Regional Water Resources Managers to further develop relationships among URS pier groups throughout the company in an effort to share resources, utilize technical strengths, ensure independent reviews of all deliverables, and to identify key project opportunities as early as possible.
Duties include: • Identify, pursue and win profitable water / wastewater projects. • Meet or exceed predetermined business development targets. • Lead proposal preparation and make presentations to potential large and complex clients. • Develop and maintain excellent client relationships. • Provide coaching and technical expertise to employees. • Lead multi-disciplinary projects as Project Manager or Principal. • Ensure the delivery of quality professional services and deliverables by URS team. • Maintain a high local and regional profile. • Identify market needs and trends. • Other duties as assigned.
