Minimum Requirements: Education: Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business administration or demonstrated equivalent.
Experience: 8+ years of Human Resources Generalist experience (with concentration in employee relations).
• Responsible for employee relations issues (including ethic hotline calls) and will provide counseling and advising managers on employee issues. • Implements and coordinates policies and programs for the functional areas of human resources. • Manages and directs the employee relations activities and provide guidance in human resources policies and procedures in the group. • Makes presentations and recommendations regarding new or existing human resources policies. • Responsible for knowing and applying the laws, regulations, and policies concerning Equal Employment Opportunity, Affirmative Action, and related business matters; and for advising and assisting subordinates and management in complying with these requirements. • Directs the maintenance of human resources records and data systems. • Reports to the GSG Human Resources Vice President. Job Description: We are looking for an experienced HR Manager and Business partner to provide broad based HR counsel and assistance to employees and the senior leadership team. This individual will be responsible for supporting the Global Security Group – specifically in managing employee relations across the group. The successful HR Manager may support the group in other HR related areas including compensation, benefits, staffing, employee relations, equal employment opportunity (EEO), employee development, labor relations, and related areas.
FOCUS AND RESONSIBILITIES
1. Employee Concerns and Coordination - Provides centralized employee relations resources to the HR department, ensuring consistent application of related policies and procedures. Manages and participates in planning, developing, recommending, and implementing employee relations programs and maintains policies to ensure the uniform and equitable treatment of employees. 2. Serves as the HR Department’s subject matter expert on employee relations activities including corrective actions, performance improvement plans and terminations. 3. Maintains centralized records and activity logs for employee relation activities across the organization to assist with ensuring consistent application of policies and procedures. 4. Proactively understands employee relations trends and provides recommendations for improvement. 5. Continually monitors employee relations related opportunities for process improvement that will increase the company’s compliance and risk mitigation efforts 6. Investigate Employee Concerns and Hot Line Calls 7. Compile and submit reports as required regarding Employee Relations 8. Serve as Subject Matter Expert to Project Employee Relations Professionals 9. Provide Proposal and business development HR/Recruiting support as needed.
